Offshift Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 October 2026

Offshift is provided by Gilvex. For privacy questions, contact gilvexion@gmail.com.

Information used on your device

Offshift stores your shift start and end times, counted work and lunch time, timer settings, and any images you choose to import. This information is used to run the timer, restore your current shift, show your history, and display your chosen companion images.

The app uses your device clock. It does not need an account, internet time synchronization, or a connection to a developer server.

Images you choose

You can choose individual images using the device's file or photo picker. Offshift copies selected images into local app storage so they remain available offline. It does not scan your gallery or upload your images. You can remove imported images in Settings.

Notifications and permissions

Notification permission is optional. If allowed, Offshift can show work or lunch timing and shift actions in Android notifications. Depending on your Android privacy settings, this information may appear on the lock screen. You can change notification permission and lock-screen visibility in Android settings.

The app schedules timing alarms to handle break and work deadlines while it is closed. These alarms are used for the timer, not advertising or tracking.

Collection and sharing

Offshift does not send your shift records, settings or imported images to the developer or to third parties. It contains no advertising, analytics or developer-operated backend. Choosing to contact the publisher by email uses your email provider and shares the information you include in your message.

Storage, retention and deletion

Your data remains in local app storage until you remove it. Imported images can be removed in Settings. Android's Clear storage action or uninstalling Offshift removes the app's local settings, shift history and imported image copies. Removing a copy from Offshift does not delete the original file you selected.

Offshift disables Android cloud backup and device transfer of its app data. There is no developer cloud copy from which cleared or uninstalled data can be restored. Device security, operating-system access controls and any copies you separately keep are outside the app's control.

Changes and contact

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. Send questions about this policy to gilvexion@gmail.com.
